IMO, a lot less Filipinos know english than is claimed. It depends where you go. For sure in the provinces, it’s a small percentage that speak English. But yes, most are embarrassed to speak english, because it is something Filipinos judge each other about. What they don’t realize is most English speaking foreigners are not going to judge their English… I mean… You should hear my tagalog, who am I to judge? XD
Edit: Oh, lol. Just realized this is the province. My wife’s mom’s family is from here. She is from Tondo (the good part, haha). I love to visit the province, Neuva Cija. I prefer that over the big cities.
@Q Adventures that’s why have a car are scooter to travel when retired. have no reason not visit different places to vlog .think about why go to Philippines and do zero travel ? you can that in your home country . reason to move to a Asia country cheaper and can travel have no job to worry about .
@Q Adventures yeah there are so many unique places in the Philippines to visit. It’s really more of a conglomeration of many different countries. There are a ton of Filipino dialects, but really they aren’t even dialects. They’re entirely different languages. Sometimes Spanish and Portuguese can understand each other. A tagalog speaker and a cebuano speaker can’t understand each other at all. And they all have different versions of food. So many different cultures mixed together in the Philippines. It’s halo-halo 😉
