Cutting the table ? Not to knock Filipino men but my wife and I had an Adult Care Home, I had just put down NEW vinyl flooring, not even a week before
and the Filipino husband was cutting up cardboard box’s on the NEW FLOOR.with a box knife. A dozen or more cuts into the vinyl. Some people don’t even think first.
My dad made me a box kite when I was about age 7 or 8 – , 70 plus years ago. using balsa wood strips Maybe it was 3 feet long,, one foot wide, using the short
strips to form a box on the two ends. I honestly can’t remember if he used paper or plastic about a foot wide around each end and the center was open. Tied a string
to the support bar in the middle. I knew it would not fly but it did. I ran it up a good 200 feet and as it was flying ok and I was a kid so I went to take a nap. When I came
back, the kite was still flying away. I am more amazed today then I was then.. At least in the U.S. during the late 40;s, early 50’s durning the summer some man would
come to the small towns with YoYo demonstration and of course the dime store had a big supply of YoYo’s for sale. Then it was kite demonstrations, 10 cents for a paper
kite and 25 cents for a kite with plastic – much stronger.and then pea shooters – a plastic straw and a bag of small peas. . No TV’s then or any electronic games – kids were
outside all day. Sat. mornings when there were TV’s, it was cartoons and serials of some kind. Almost wish we could go back to that time.
Last year my wife went to the Outlet store and bought 5 pair of shoes for the men who painted our house. These, hopefully, are not used for work shoes.
Joshua, great job on the kite! 🪁🪁🪁🪁🪁 It flew better than any of the store bought kites I’ve had. Thank you, Derrick, for sharing your neighborhood kids with me (everyone else who enjoyed it, need to click on the comment button and give their own verbal support
It’s a wonderful thing that you are doing for your Filipino community. 💖💖💖💖💖💖
So great to see kids outside having fun like we used to before technology took over. We used to make our kites when we couldn’t afford them, out of newspaper/sticks/string/cloth rag tail – we loved March because we got to fly kites. Isn’t that Joshua making the kite – he knows how to make a pretty good kite! Thanks for buying the kids shoes again!
Great to watch the boys make and fly the kite, very good 😊👏
So nice of you Derek and Ai once again buying the shoes/sneakers and thongs🇦🇺/flipflops/ jandals/slippers🤣😊👏👏

The young kite maker was very impressive and so diligently working to make it fly. 👍🏼♥️🇨🇦

Awe sh*t!!! TOONAMI… I miss that
You’re a Champion, brother. Much respect to you and Aye. ❤

I took that to heart. I am grateful
It’s funny/redundant that people seem to have to remind others that it’s HOT, when it’s obviously HOT. Duh….
Just a comment under my breath

Yes, that’s Joshua. He has potential
You have a heart of gold, and the gift of humor and laughter. Bless you both ♡

They, generally, are…. but they are still kids. When I hire them to wash my bikes, a water fight is always guaranteed, but they are kids
