Plus most of the bike’s are 2stroke unlike American’s 4strokes. Those who don’t know 2 is usually a faster take off speed. They tend to be cheaper to build. Wonder the price for parts, availability and cost.
$2200 for a new bike. Kinda free. I can see why you went this way for investing. I’ll be there soon. Getting things squared away for my move there in about 2 years. Sick of being taxed to death in u.s.
Hi Derek if I make it down to where you have your shop at I was wondering do you have any automatic bikes that I could rent I don’t know how to shift gears I think that would be the easiest way for me to learn but I’m a little scared about since I’ve only drove a scooter a few times and they’ve always been automatic cuz I seen the one video you had on if you get in an accident and I don’t want to have to go through that about 6ft 5 to 6 ft 6 when I be able to ride in one of your scooter scooters alright how’s that work with the insurance do I buy the insurance off you great show you have there thank you for your videos Dennis😊😊
Yes Dennis. All my scooters are automatic. No shifting involved. I have 3 Rusi RFI’s that are favored by tall clients, like yourself.
You are self insured here, meaning no insurance. But worst case scenario, this scooter is only $2,000 USD to replace. But if you want to make the rental booking via 1 of your travel based credit cards, I am 99% sure your credit card covers car and scooter rental insurance, which means in a worst case scenario, you pay me directly to indemnify me, I write you proper receipts and the credit card company will reimburse you after the fact. There is also the option of getting a really affordable travel insurance policy with a rental rider. For about $20, you are well covered
my experience of being here 8 years now and as an ex HD rider, I cant imagine having a bigger bike than a 250 cc. The roads are mostly narrow, congested and not condusive to high speed travel. Also, too many tight places and most people have to actually physically move their bike around. A big bike like I used to ride would be, mostly, impractical. However, there is an HD dealership here in Cebu and many foreigners plus a few pinoys have HD’s. IMHO
I would be also very interested in those threewheelers.. Like TVS King, TVS Duramax, Bajaj RE, Bajaj Maxima Z.. Could also be interesting for you, for foreigner guests who dont feel comfortable driving a motorbike, a threewheeler for rent could be interesting.. also for 1-2 couples renting it together, families and so on..
Wheeltek had them, they are near Gaisano Grand Plaza and The Outlets – big red building next to Petron Station.. but I couldnt give it a proper look when I was there last time
CR = Comfort Room, not Certificate of Registration
14785 PHP =261$
So U pay 138710₱ instead of 124000₱. That’s 14710₱ more, 12% in 6 months. 24% per year. That’s a lot interest rate 😂
CR in terms of registration brother. But that’s funny
Yes… in terms of simple interest, that sounds correct but that is the price I am willing to pay for her to establish a public record of credibility
It’s ok. The cause justifies the means
Good for Ai. Get a Credit thing going. You are right Q!
Yeah, we can never get a straight answer so we just gonna figure it out.
So I can now add motorcycles to a very long list of things that are much cheaper to buy in the Philippines. 🤔🧳🛫
Buy the name brand only
100% agreed. The price difference is not much but you get brand recognition and quality
@Q Adventures stay with Honda or Suzuki or Yamaha. Parts are available almost anywhere.
@eddydavis9548 yes Eddy. That’s all I’m doing now. Just Honda and Yamaha.
Good video and very informative as usual. Are you home now and done with travel?
Yes, Doug. I was planning to reach out and catch up on your Monday eve
@Q Adventures sounds great. Hope you enjoyed your trip
It’s probably about money like everything else they pay to get the or cr done quicker
That is, perhaps, the case. But as a consumer, we have a choice to do business with a more efficient dealer
Congrats on reaching 12k
Thank you, brother
Lmao crack cocaine dust
Nowhere in the world is lobster $200 a piece
@Q Adventures Congratulations on reaching 12k Derek. Onwards and upwards from here man.
It’s the views. I need views!!! HELP!!!
@Q Adventures Derek bro I did view your video and always do.
@markhetherington6964 thank you, Mark.
Thanks for the in-depth about the purchase endeavor 👍 Your appreciated Derek 🙏😇
Always a pleasure 🫶

You are correct. It’s a small tweak to a old business and here I am… growing and supporting the expat community while giving back to the locals
ORCR… if I have that right. A company is controlling you
Not sure what you mean
That was awesome to know you don’t loose 20% driving off the lot
Nope. Value retention is high

Good luck with the registration process, hope everything goes well 😊
Derek, would love if you were able to show each bike and the price tags. Interesting to compare for those not in Ph
Yes sir… will do that next time I am there

greetings from a new sub…..I have been here 8 years now. I am a 70 year old American and retired here in 2015. Love it here
Greetings!!! I must say I am a little jealous that you have been here that much longer than I. 🤗
are you still thinking of doing the motovlog?
Heck yeah. Doing some graphics now and start recruiting a crew
Thank you for featuring our Motorshop sir. Love, Kriders family. ❤
Sure… but after my purchasing experience with your store, I am extremely concern with your customer service. It is highly lacking
can you take the bike on a ferry before you get papers?
No. It would get impounded at checkpoints and coast guard will not allow it on the ferry

Good point and I frequent that Wheeltek. But takes up too much real estate. One day perhaps
