The way I see it is there are always negative people and they tend to see something wrong in things. Don’t let their negativity affect your content. When you were giving the college student a laptop and the others gifts from viewers you inserted a live disclaimer about your interaction with young females. Most of us do not have an inkling you would do anything unethical. I guess my point is resist letting a small minority of negative people ruin a touching moment again.
You just keep being you Derek and Ai as your Good people with kind and true Hearts with the purest of intentions even whe it doesn’t work out you keep trying in helping empower Filipinos as clearly evidenced by the growing crew. choosing to help the younger ones is a long haul process filled with mix of joys and sorrows but anyone who has followed you clearly know you go way above and beyond. oh and the pics weren’t provocative at all as there are many Filipina channels showing off allot more skin and playing to that angle and you have never gone in that direction, otherwise we’d see Ai in front of the camera in a bikini not taking tasteful pictures of young ladies in regular shorts and tops ๐..
Husband speaking age 81 plus. Last week I was just walking around our aria . A young man jogging and he comes up to me and asks, can you give me some advise? Wow, about what – he said anything. Ok. He was 21, in an apt. with his brother and works at a Ins. company. I said. donโt smoke, drink or do any drugs and donโt rush into anything like marriage. He said thanks and continued jogging.

Even though we only want the positive outlook. We need to see and read the dark side of the minds of certain people. Because there is a certain perspective from others that show their true colours. On the flip side of those negative commenters, it might show something we really don’t see or notice from an innocent perspective. There is always that perv. perspectives we don’t always realize…..

Some people just look for something wrong with everything and if you search you will find. Also a lot people see your videos and think about situations with an American mind. I love your videos.
Use those haters as a measure of your success, the more haters you get the more successful YOU are. Trolls don’t go to small and insignificant channels, because all they want is attention and bigger channels is where they will get it, so having trolls means your channel is important and a success. Many of those leaving negative comments are doing so because they’re not happy in their own life and don’t want to see others happy, so they try to bring everyone else down, then they don’t have to put in the work to lift themselves up, when others lives are just as bad.
So many are offended now-a-days by everything, ignore them, no one has to cater to their feelings, everyone is different and will have a different perspective, you can’t cater to everyone. If something bothers them, they can choose to get away from it and not try to force THEIR views onto others. I’ve stopped watching most ex-pat vloggers, it’s all the same thing over and over, the click bait thumbnails/titles (Such as sexual content/innuendos), and many now being sponsored by dating sites that are over run with scammers, which makes them just as guilty of scamming too because they are promoting it. I don’t watch those walking tour channels either because all they do is walk through impoverished areas, videoing those people without any interaction, and make money off those people’s despair. I watch yours because you do interact with the people and let’s us see the other side of those people, not just the poverty. Keep doing what you do and I’ll keep watching. As for running a business, I have ran 3, sometimes you make calculated risks and the results come up short. That is life all in all but to be successful you have to sometimes take those chances. I’ve been getting a taste of what Philippines internet is like. lol I always enjoy your videos and will definitely do a marathon of the ones I missed when I get the issues straightened out. That said, I want to apologize if my comment came across as hateful or negative in any way, as that was never my intention. I’ve often encountered news about child abuse and similar disheartening cases, which has made me sensitive to these words. However, I understand and agree with you that perceptions vary, and you shouldnโt feel restricted in your title choices based on how others might interpret them.

Their are always going to be people who complain. It makes them feel important, and they get some weird satisfaction from it. Don’t waste effort trying to please everyone. Watch for comments on how you can improve, and disregard the rest. Personally, I don’t watch your videos all the way through when their are sound issues, but I haven’t complained because I don’t know what equipment you use and have no solution to offer. Why complain, just to complain? I know you are aware of the problems and are probably already looking into solutions. My being critical just wouldn’t be productive. Look for feedback, which is basically solutions or suggestions that will improve something. I’ll add that when your starting to get haters it means you’re doing something right. Stay at it.
