Certainly looks like a hidden paradise. Those mangroves are super important to reduce beach erosion, and should be encouraged to grow as much as possible. Imagine owning a small catamaran there…
Make sure to test the water quality from the well, if that’s what you are going to use on the property. See how contaminated the water is. Look out for industrial facilities around that might be contaminating the ground water.
Derek, it’s so cool to hear your entrepreneurial brain at work and your thought process when thinking about the possibilities of starting a business at the ocean front location. I already know that whatever you decide to do next will be a huge success – and also importantly will create jobs for the local community (2 birds with one stone)!
It could be a Fixer-upper but Anda may be a bit far but it is ALL a mater of Marketing and funding as it is Gorgeous and so peaceful perfect idea of an all inclusive kind of resort. Just like somebody had to think of Vegas in middle of the desert as a destination and built it up so Many possibilities in the Philippines while your enjoying your life there. It’s all in the eye of the beholder and your appreciation of the Beauty is equally shared. Thanks & Enjoy
husband speaking- my wife’s mother bought a lot years ago, my wife paid the taxes on the lot for 20 years and then she found out

A lot of untouched property all around the Philippines. Building a resort would be amazing… even starting off small at first with a few huts would keep you busy (in the right location, of course). I will be doing the same thing when I get there later in the year. Having a real good look around. Enjoy guys… JIM 🙃
@@qadventures I can tell what kind of people you are. Honest very out going. It happened through the Ken situation lol. then I got to watching your channel and you’re just really 2 great people. and I really like watching Q adventures and have such a way with interacting with locals and showing them stuff like I love mangoes not to get a subject so when you were talking to that guy about his mango business I was like that would be a dream job for me. I love the way you interact with people you’re genuine and I don’t know if that’s your wife or girlfriend either or you’re both very genuine people and you get to show me a part of the world and a part of a different civilization than being stuck in horrible USA. All mangroove locations in the Philippines are protected. Land leading up to mangroves have extremely limited in what you can do in and around it. Land Management Office has surveyors on staff who they send out at your expense to survey which lands are restricted.
Another cringe 99% minded foreigner claiming to be an “entrepreneur” 😂
Not a good area for a resort being in the middle of nowhere. Filipinos wouldn’t be able to afford it, and foreigners never visit Anda.
You won’t be buying anything in PH anyway, you can’t afford it. It’s obvious you live off $1,500/mo with an employee and consumer mindset. Stop pretending you have realistic business ideas

way different than city life

Crossed my mind
Nice location. You could open a jet-ski resort
Jet-ski resort?!!?🙄 I can’t imagine a worse idea.
You are taking it too literally, buddy. Just a resort with jetskis to rent
Amazing find! It is so beautiful and there should be bird life in the mangroves. Good Luck 👍🏼♥️🇨🇦
Typhoon bro your choice.
There’s earthquake in California, tornadoes in TX, extreme heat in Vegas, etc. There are ways to battle these things

This pace is so isolated, there isn’t an industrial facility for 50 km. I hear you on the well water, we will also install rain catchers
That’s a Beautiful area. Thanks for sharing it with us. 🙏💕🙏

This looks like owner has a little money
Fireigners can not own land Derek. Becareful Bro.
Not directly, correct. But we are able to form a business exclusively owned by investors (foreign or domestic) that can
Nice area Derek. 👍
So how far is it from where you live
Next island over, but we have multiple transportation options. We’ll cross that bridge

Sorry to hear that and yes
#2 just a guess without knowing, they are not titled.
Have yet to find out
What a perfectly lovely place to build a home/compound, if it were possible. Love this place! ♥ How did you find this place?
We randomly went off roading along the coast
Buying a neglected resort might be better than buying out fishermen with pissy neighbors.
Neglected resorts are still an absurd amount of cost. Just exploring different options
🙀

Great area 🙂
Mangroves equal crabs 🦀🦐 etc.
You being a business may be able to aquire from the government possibly🤷🏼♀️.
The people who asked you to leave could be squatters and the reason for not wanting westerners looking around and videoing too 🤭
Yes, Victoria. Big possibility
Hey Buddy! You are Knarly!
Haha!!! Thank you
On another subject, what ever became of Ken after he returned to the UK

Hi Dereck and Ai. Mangroves (which grow directly in saltwater) and 6 other types of trees
Thank you for the wisdom
I recommend Tubigon, Bohol – suited for island hopping and just an hour by boat from Cebu City .
Also a great place. Busy ferry port there and not a congested town
What about typhoons and flooding? Is that on a side that get hit directly more. Man that is a very nice spot. Wow. Hope you get it
These 2 issues can easily be mitigated with proper planning and going to better construction materials and procedures

Great point that I missed
Just remember. Foreigners CAN’T own land in the Philippines.
