For SSA check deposits, unless Ken is grandfathered with a specific date, the checks usually get deposited based on one’s birthdate and split up in 3rds and sent out on the second, third or fourth Wednesday of the month. And remember, you guys (in PI) are a day ahead so it might get deposited based on the US timeframe. Good luck & God speed Ken!

Any lubricating eyedrops are better than nothing, when you have dry eyes. And especially when you`ve had surgery. He can probably get the better ones, when he gets home. It`s amazing how much better he is now, than what he was when you found him! Even thought he still has a lot of health challenges, you definitely saved his life with what you have done for him!

It’s hard to chase down medications or health products here. I went to a dermatologist for a rash 3 days ago and still hunting down my prescription cream after over 20 pharmacies. I am still looking for proper eye drops for Ken but have given him standard rewetting drops
It’s wonderful to see the life come back in Ken and his sense of humour, what an incredible transformation, I hope the UK open their arms and help him on his return , yes it will be a big adjustment to his body dealing with the freezing temperatures in the UK , make sure he gets thermal tshirts and leggings to put underneath his clothing they can really help especially for older people , Amazon sells them , I wish I could buy them for him but I’m not doing well myself. Hi I had mentioned eyedrops before and gave some Welsh words. The drops Ken was talking about were after his eye op and may have been expensive as they had antiseptic and anesthetic properties for the Healing process. Not meant for long term use… Welsh people are called Taffy and boyo as a term of acknowledgment. IE; hello boyo. try that on him and hopefully its not so long since he heard. As i said before he will not be entitled to free medication as he has been living permanently abroad. He must wait 3 months and fegister with a doctor. I should know as i been abroad for 39 years and went back for heart problems. Nothing free until register with doc and residing in UK. You are wrong when you say is not up for discussuon. In fact you and Ken unfortunately have a few facts wrong about UK. Ken is old and confused as you know.

If he knows his National Insurance number, he can check on his UK pension online. I suspect he doesn’t but there are instructions on there how to get it. The UK government website. Good luck Ken! I have been asking about my pension contributions even though I’m not pensionable age but as an expat. I’ve filled in some forms about making additional contributions but was advised that once they receive them, there is a 30 week delay in processing. That is possibly the delay with Ken’s US Social Security payments. Just a backlog.

I know that the good food, vitamins, and his meds have helped him a lot, but I believe that what he really needed most was a friend. Someone who actually cares about him. Well done in helping Ken return to the UK Derek. I’m just a little bit concerned about what will happen to Ken when he arrives in London (Heathrow Airport). You mentioned a charity will meet and take care of him and he will also be taken to a Hospital for a medical check up. The normal proceedure for repatriating a British Citizen is to take their passport or travel document from them until they have paid back all costs related to their home coming. Any how best of luck to Ken.

For SSA check deposits, unless Ken is grandfathered with a specific date, the checks usually get deposited based on one’s birthdate and split up in 3rds and sent out on the second, third or fourth Wednesday of the month. And remember, you guys (in PI) are a day ahead so it might get deposited based on the US timeframe. Good luck & God speed Ken!

Any lubricating eyedrops are better than nothing, when you have dry eyes. And especially when you`ve had surgery. He can probably get the better ones, when he gets home. It`s amazing how much better he is now, than what he was when you found him! Even thought he still has a lot of health challenges, you definitely saved his life with what you have done for him!

There are chamomile eyes drops work really well for dryness , but he may get the eyes corrected in Britan .
It’s hard to chase down medications or health products here. I went to a dermatologist for a rash 3 days ago and still hunting down my prescription cream after over 20 pharmacies. I am still looking for proper eye drops for Ken but have given him standard rewetting drops

Hi I had mentioned eyedrops before and gave some Welsh words. The drops Ken was talking about were after his eye op and may have been expensive as they had antiseptic and anesthetic properties for the Healing process. Not meant for long term use… Welsh people are called Taffy and boyo as a term of acknowledgment. IE; hello boyo. try that on him and hopefully its not so long since he heard. All the best to You and Ai for helping a fellow countryman. God bless. PS. a warm compress on the eyes may help as well ( towel with hot water over the eyes) not too hot though…..preferably before bedtime so he gets best relief for sleeping

As i said before he will not be entitled to free medication as he has been living permanently abroad. He must wait 3 months and fegister with a doctor. I should know as i been abroad for 39 years and went back for heart problems. Nothing free until register with doc and residing in UK. You are wrong when you say is not up for discussuon. In fact you and Ken unfortunately have a few facts wrong about UK. Ken is old and confused as you know.
He has his back pensions he can buy meds if he needs it. Healthcare he is free hes still british

Only emergency treatment is free, such as heart attack, broken leg etc. He cannot come back with the purpose of seeking free health treatment. Why dont you all do some research? I know because i went back after 25 years seeking treatment and had to pay for private heslth treatment. Wish i could copy and paste the relevant rules to make this clesr as i am exasparated at hearing on the video that Ken is entitled to free treatment as he is British and over 65. I am British and 71. If he knows his National Insurance number, he can check on his UK pension online. I suspect he doesn’t but there are instructions on there how to get it. The UK government website. Good luck Ken! I have been asking about my pension contributions even though I’m not pensionable age but as an expat. I’ve filled in some forms about making additional contributions but was advised that once they receive them, there is a 30 week delay in processing. That is possibly the delay with Ken’s US Social Security payments. Just a backlog.

I know that the good food, vitamins, and his meds have helped him a lot, but I believe that what he really needed most was a friend. Someone who actually cares about him. Well done in helping Ken return to the UK Derek. I’m just a little bit concerned about what will happen to Ken when he arrives in London (Heathrow Airport). You mentioned a charity will meet and take care of him and he will also be taken to a Hospital for a medical check up. The normal proceedure for repatriating a British Citizen is to take their passport or travel document from them until they have paid back all costs related to their home coming. Any how best of luck to Ken.
Ken is doing so much better. Don’t worry about his fat intake. His body is starving for fat so it’s actually healthy for him. His mind is so much sharper.
