The longest ferry ride I’ve been on was around 5 or 6 hours. I can’t imagine a 22-hour ride, especially one where necessities such as toilets were out of order. I felt tired just seeing you and Ai walk around the port. Getting your bikes seemed like a huge hassle. I don’t think I’d have the patience for that😵
Anyway, at least this leg of your trip is done. After all that you guys went through, maybe the survival camp will be a breeze😅 Good luck!
My filipina and I made this journey from Cebu to Manila where did business class on the was really good private room private business class only restaurant van this was a very relaxing way to travel . By the sounds of things it was the bikes what was holes in the problem we didn’t have that problem we were just foot passengers
Yeah. I saw some business class rooms for 2 passengers but because we had a party of 3, we had an unrelated person in the room with us. But that’s not the problem. It was the lack of facilities and most things seem out of order
That is an Adventure as I think you already started the “Survival Camp” as you just didn’t know it would include a 3 hour walking tour for 6 peso (11 cents) as I would be exhausted. Sure gained allot of patience and laughter thru that impatient situation but now you’ve survived in good spirits as traveling with someone shows how good your relationship is and Ai seems to still be positive. Onward to more Adventures. 😀
I’m starting to think that a large part of the problem is that they have been conditioned to be patient. No one to demand better service. This seems common in many countries. Nothing will ever improve until the people demand it. There has to be some middle ground between where the American gets angry to wait 5 minutes and countries that never seem to even attempt to improve their systems.
Then we wouldn’t be able to take 2 bikes with us and we have to fly over everything we want to do. Part of this trip is to circle the entire island of Luzon. Can’t do that on a plane
@Q Adventures Leave the bikes in Cebu and just rent new ones $6 a day ~ God I hate Manila!! I would have stayed in Cebu and just biked around CarCar, Bohol? But that is just me?

The CDO overnight was not as much hassle as this, but still much more hassle than the shorter distance ferries.
Lucky to have Ai to help navigate I don’t walk that well so I’d be screwed at that port. On another note I was wondering if Gel knows how to swim, I worry about where she swims 😮 I commented on her Vlog if her Papa could teach her to swim but maybe he doesn’t swim himself cause I got no reply
