Hello Derek and Ai, I just wanted to share something with you after watching your update. First off I’m sorry you viewers on your live events have dropped off after Gel and Ken stopped being the focus. In my opinion those viewers are missing out. I personally have always enjoyed your live as it gives me insight into who you are. Afterall I’m watching you guys because it was you guys that caught my interest not the thing you’re doing necessarily or the people you are interviewing. Not that those things or people aren’t interesting. As you know from previous comments I’ve made, I’ve praised you for the interesting subjects you find for your videos but to me, that’s just a bonus, what draws me in and keeps me coming back is getting to know more about you guys. The thing I’ve been enjoying most lately is the way you’ve been sharing the ways that you’re looking at growing your business. I mean you started off just renting a few motor bikes. Now you have 2-3 times the number of motor bikes, rooms, that you rent annd now this boat and you plans for customzed itineraries. I hope that not long from now you guys begin sharing how you’re expanding by purchasing more land and activites, maybe even a restaurant all in the effort to grow your business maybe into a resort or something close to it.
Oh Mark, you know me too well. That previous video I made of that piece of waterfront land, it’s my top priority. Not quite sure about a resort, but definitely a lifestyle accommodation if I raise enough funds in time. I will make another video about it

When you have to explain yourself it is intentional. People like your videos I like your videos i just don’t like how you video young adults or teenagers. It attracts male viewers and takes away of what you and your gf does by helping others. You have friends of yours YouTube vloggers that are taking a big hit because what they show and how they show young females in their videos. As someone who has lived in the Philippines and someone that works in law enforcement here in the states there is a fine line with redpect or . Just be you. Show yourself helping people show your travel but to walk through a local town and use young females and ask them for a planned tour for male viewership to me is not fun. I think sometimes you have to count your blessing and just slow down and enjoy life. You say YouTube is not important but then you talk about it often wanting more viewership. Just be you. And you talking about your business and your success is boring. Its your business not ours

Secondly (this is gonna be a long one), as many messages that i personally respond to, I apologize for not having a recollection of the specific ‘rude response’ you are referring to. I am certain your calling me out is warranted and I apologize for have writing a rude rebuttal.
You also have to understand my position. None of my content is about dating, giving advice, exploitative conversations, etc. I am a curious person by nature and have left a society where interactions with young adults is now a taboo. I am a father to a, now, 18 year old boy. I am curious. I love to interact with people in general, including young people so I can learn.
So when i arrived in the Philippines, cultural standards are different, which I absolutely adore. Yes, I have some underage kids within my content, but consider the content and context. Never ONCE have I said or done anything inappropriate as it had NEVER crossed my mind. I have ALWAYS obtained permission from their parents or the responsible adults that were present. Look at someone like Gel. If I was overly concerned about other people’s (people I have never met nor care about) intentions, then she would not have accomplished what she has accomplished.
I understand there are weirdos out there. Many of them have reached out to me for contact information of my video subjects and the answer is ALWAYS no!!! I have people reaching out in the disguise of “helping” while demanding contact information. I am NOT stupid. I will not fall for their demands of helping LJ or Rai Rai and not Eric or Jericho. I am not anyone’s puppet over whatever it is they are offering to entice me. I am doing ok as is and don’t care for any offer that is made to compromise my guests.
On the same token, I have inherited many trolls because I am friends or acquaintance of certain people. The trolls attack me after just seeing a thumbnail and not even bother watching the video, let alone my other videos to understand my intentions within the Philippines.
Although I, personally, respond to video comments, I don’t always edit my own videos and create thumbnails. As a YouTuber, it is my goal to maximize my viewership regardless of thumbnail or however trolls interpret my content from their 5 seconds of viewership.
But you understand my frustration in dealing with all the accusations. It was not my intent to attack your comment.

So being attacked for others’ crimes just rubs me the wrong way. Being in the Philippines makes me deal with my issues a lot better. I love interacting with people. Whether senior citizen male (like Ken) or juvenile females (like Gel), I learn from both and I never cross the line. Not you, but if I was being attacked by others for my own downfall, I can live with it. But in a public worldwide platform like YouTube, the ignorant continue to attack me on others’ downfalls

Derek my man,, phillipine people will always choose family over everything doesn’t matter if its a good or bad choice the family member makes, I help a lot of philippine people myself and I see this time n time again. they live for there family, don’t let people bother you about your business most of us would easy pay a bit more for quality and a business we can trust. don’t stop helping it pays off .
Brutha.. sometimes just have to do what you gotta do.. sometimes life can make things good bad easy hard.. You have to give yourself a pat on the back for essentially serving the community and employing people in the community..
