Wrong kind of welder for that job. You need a flux core wire welder and not a stick welder. You can do it but its harder to get a good weld on tubing without getting a burn through.
welding without P.P.E…using a broken pointing finger….no supervisor standing over you second guessing your every move…sorry bro Ima have to report you to OSHA!
Hey Derek, you got it made in the shade now. I wondered how long the old awning would last in a storm. Here you would have 8 city clowns with their hands out looking for permit money.
If the metal is galvanized, the smoke off it is very toxic. Just make sure you have lots of wind. Do not look at the light, look away or close your eyes.
HI U2👋. DIY IN THE PHILIPPINES 🇵🇭WITH BUDHA D!! LOL 😂 BROTHER. My best friends all got nicknames from me so I came up with this for you!! Looking good 👍! Blessings 🙏🌺🌸🌼
Hey, Derek. This is off-topic, but I’m going to the Philippines and will buy a scooter or motorbike. Can you tell me the best way to go? New, used, where, etc.. I’ll be in Coron, Busuanga, Palawan.
Pros and cons. Buying new has a long registration process. Not sure about Coron, but some province allow you to drive it while waiting for registration. In Lapu-Lapu, it’s strict. The bike collect dust until the registration arrives.
As for used bikes, some has current registrations and you can drive it immediately. But maintenance is not common here. Used bikes come with problems
I figured his eyes would get flash burn from watching the welding. It’s no surprise he told you his eyes were bothering him. Either get some very dark sunglasses or another hood for him if he is going to watch. Got to protect the eyes.
Great ingenuity… just make sure and knock off the slag from the welding. And make sure and paint it with some rust proof paint. His stick welding wouldnt pass any welding certification… lol but hey… improvise, adapt, and overcome! Also, for what you are doing, a rough 3- 6 inch drop from front to back will be a good drop to drain off the water.
@qadventures lol with the way you did it using the pipe to slide the frame pipe into, it will make it easier to take apart if needed, youncould also drill holes and thread it and put screws into it to lock the pipe in place. That way a small storm won’t pull it apart. Thank you for the amazing videos and all of the philanthropy that you are doing!
Take a grinder and clean off both survaces prior to welding. The Galvanization on the pipes is toxic and if you do not grind it off. You are being poisioned. Plus it will get you a better weld.
Haha, we use those tents in Film and TV here on the East Coast and it only takes a medium sized wind gust to totally destroy those things!!!
Yeah. It’s so disappointing not having access to better options here though
Great job for amateurs. As they say, “Professionals built the Titanic and the Arc was built by amateurs”… you know how that all turned out.
Very much so🙏
Nice job Brother!

I know… but we improvise here. Work with what we have and make the best of it.
Wow nice brother
It’s a nice toys, lol 😂
Yeah… I overpaid though. We do love it… and I share my toys
My wife’s cousin in Davao city Cutting metal with grinder 15 stitches and his leg and ankle Be safe
We will. We always silly but are careful🙏
Welding is a good trade take your time you will get it you cannot Rush the process like dating a beautiful woman take your time
Yeah… we have access to a machine now and practice as we wish🙏
where is your building permit 😄😄😄😄
The permit issuer is busy playing with the new toy I bought🤣
@Q Adventures yea that’s true 😎😎😎
Bro, I just love your energy. Way to adapt and innovate!
I’m in Paradise!!! No time to be low energy 😁
@Q Adventures I cannot wait to sit and just chill with you, Ai and your extended family. The memories will be priceless.
Pin UP nickel
welding without P.P.E…using a broken pointing finger….no supervisor standing over you second guessing your every move…sorry bro Ima have to report you to OSHA!
OSHA will be laughed away here
you have the wrong rod for galvinized pipe thats why burning holes in it 6011 would be better
We have to work with what’s available here. 🙏
@Q Adventures i know buddy i am blind from the glare off your chrome dome haha just kidding
Great videos.
Thank you for your continued support 🙏

That’s why I love it here. More freedom to handle these types of situations

It wasn’t galvanized. 🙏

I like it!!! Bigham D is much better than Dirty D my previous guess jokingly gave me
that”s grown men toys
lol bro i was just about to mention if you was in the west people would be saying were your safety equipment, then you said it about the glasses.
Yeah.. I knew people were gonna give me ass about safety equipment
The guy that’s doing the welding tell him to rotate in a circle making a bead and it won’t stick to the metal, I hope that will help
It makes sense. I will tell him.
it looks amazing
Hope it functions 😁

Nice!
Hi Derek, I have to say “Damn good job”. You learn something new every day. Peace Brother.
Thank you Peter. Fun day everyday
You done well. It is what it is. The way it’s done in the Philippines.
Yes sir…. it is what it is… no over thinking
I figured his eyes would get flash burn from watching the welding. It’s no surprise he told you his eyes were bothering him. Either get some very dark sunglasses or another hood for him if he is going to watch. Got to protect the eyes.
Yes. He did the look away thereafter
Looks pretty good 👌🏾
We were just experimenting and having fun. The end result was functional

Thank you for the pass. The key is no experience.

Yeah. We were gonna drill those holes but we’ll see how it behaves after some wind gusts
Sometimes you have to adapt and improvise.
That’s exactly what it is
Fun little project, and seems like a good idea/design for the frame, nicely done. I’m not sure how strong those welds are though
Neither am I. But we’ll give it some time and figure it out🙏
Take a grinder and clean off both survaces prior to welding. The Galvanization on the pipes is toxic and if you do not grind it off. You are being poisioned. Plus it will get you a better weld.
Thank you for the advice 🙏
never look at welding with the naked eye as you can get welders flash, its like having sand in your eyes very painful
Hey Derek, it’s amazing what you can do if you put your mind to it……Nice job 👍
It was fun😁
is that metal galvanized, careful welding that, the fumes are toxic
It’s NOT galvanized. The galvanized was more expensive and didn’t contribute to the purpose. Thank you for pointing it out🙏
@Q Adventures Ok Good, it just looked liked galvanized 👍
Gratz on 10k + suns!
Thank you!!!🙏
“Some made in china stuff!”…😂😂 Derrick you’re hilarious
Bring me some stuff made in USA when you can back brah!!!
You can’t get better if you’re not trying👍 Well done so far👍
Now I have access to practice
